In recent years racing has grown considerably after many years of small turnouts and fewer events to choose from. There are many we owe a big thanks to for keeping the torch lit, veteran promoters of bicycle racing like Richard Matthews. Lexington, KY saw its first downtown criterium in decades during 2006.
