Switch Back Attack will be held on March 17-18 and will be a huge two day event with a short track, time trial, and Cross Country Race. Central Kentucky Wheelmen have added lots of new trail to a very challenging existing trail system and secured over $2000.00 in Donations so the payout in Expert and Sport should be “Racer Friendly” make sure you mark the date on your calendar and come out and enjoy the race.
Youngers race
The race sounds great, thanks for setting this up again this year. Could you give a little more information on the "short track"? I raced out there the last 3 years, and enjoy the TT and XC, and am curious.
I rode out there the end of Oct. and was able to see the massive addition to the back section, but I think the loop was closer to 11 miles. Where was the next addition put in? If it is like to other new section, this race will be outstanding.
I didn't help set up the
I didn't help set up the race just helping on one of the donations. Mike Keeney and CKW working on all the details. The last time I rode out there I did the race loop from 06 and didn't explore any further but we had a meeting the other day and they had just cut in some of the trails. I don't know how this weather is going to effect the new trails but the first weekend that we are not under flood warnings I am going to ride it and check it out. I wish I could get someone with a gps unit and mapping skills to go out there and map it. I would like to see the elevation changes. The short track is going to be cut in the field behind the parking lot. I hope all goes as planned but this weather isn't helping at all.
man i road through that
man i road through that field last year just toolin around before the tt race and it was very bumpy in places. They gonna have to get redneck style and get some trucks out there for some laps to smooth it out.
They have done an awesome
They have done an awesome job with the new switchbacks and the rest of the trail system and they have access to bobcats and other power tools so I am sure they will make it work.
