Southern IN rides

Decided to do the Monday night SI Wheelmen ride out of Silver Creek HS in Sellersburg last night. I was a bit disappointed to find only 6 riders who turned out. Shortly after we started one had a blowout, so he and his buddy decided to walk it back, leaving only myself and three others.

I'm thinking that I'm not going to get a good workout (this coming from someone whose ridden all of say 300 miles this year). The 3 gentlemen who were left on the ride (and I'm guessing that each one was older than me, I'm 50) slowly got up to speed, and from that point, they didn't slow down (and I got dropped like a bad habit about 20 miles in, so the slower of the three waited to pull me back to the starting spot).

Point being- if you really want to experience some very nice road riding with no stoplights and only an occasional stop sign, try some of the southern indiana rides advertised on the SI Wheelmen site. We did a full 25 miles with no stopping on mostly flat to rolling roads. Would've been a great ride had I been a little better prepared.
