how to ride across kentucky?

so I'm traversing your fair state within the next week, weather permitting.
Winter touring is interesting enough, so....if anyone has some route advice (southern KY in particular - between cumberland gap - bowling green)....give me your best.

Orrrr...if there are any awesome trails somewhere I'd be glad to take the afternoon off and ride with a local...I'll be carrying a set of fat tires to change into in the case of singletrack attack. -james k in boone, NC
