The state recently announced that General Butler State Resort Park at Carrollton is one of only three state parks that will be offering year round camping this year.
With our unseasonably mild conditions, and Butler's much improved trail system, mountain bikers now have an added incentive to visit.

Bob, thanks for visiting the website and sharing the info.
I'd be willing to bet that the off-limits to mountain biking during the winter months is to preserve thet trails. (ie- they don't want anyone riding on wet/muddy trails, which they should be posting on their website, not mtb off limits)
Since research shows that the effects of mountain biking and hiking is very similar concerning trail impact, it's interesting that they don't also list "no hiking" during the winter months. The "no mountain biking" is simply based on outdated and inaccurate data.
Nonetheless, if the trails are nice and dry, I would hesitate to take a ride the public trail system.
