What bike was you riding on the Cave Run group ride? I'm interested in getting a full suspension bike hopefulllysoon and someone recommended a Giant NRS and I think that's what you were riding. If you still have it I would like to test ride it up lakeview if you don't care. It couldn't be soon though since my ankle is sprained from playing basketball. Thanks.

It was a Giant VT1. I've

It was a Giant VT1. I've since switched all of the parts back to the AC Air Lite. I had ridden the Air lite for so long that I couldn't get used to the VT1.
I have the frame if you would be interested in buying it and building it up. It's pretty much a brand new frame, front fork and rear shock etc. If you are at all interested I'll post a few pics when I get a chance.
Sorry I haven't talked to you lately, my mother in law has been fighting cancer and I haven't had much time for riding in the past few months. I've been riding Zilpo road a lot lately but haven't been on a mtbike for several months. I'll take the Zaskar off your hands as soon a possible.

I understand Jim, life comes first. The Zaskar is still sitting in my "biking room" waiting for you. I'm hoping to get a full suspension bike, but I'm kind of worried because I usually pedal out of the saddle and I don't want it to bob sucking up all of my energy. Does the VT1 climb pretty good and is it the 20" frame?

Yes, it's a 20" frame. It

Yes, it's a 20" frame. It has the Manatou(sp?) Swinger rear shock which can be set up with almost no bob. As far as climbing goes I wasn't in the best shape when I was riding it so I can't really say. The Air lite just seemed to fit me better. It's an 18" frame and I got used to it and never felt right on the 20"

Don't feel like you are obligated to buy it or anything. I was planning on keeping it and using it for parts. I got it from my brother in law who quit mountain biking and started road riding due to
fear of injury. He works at Toyota and they were looking for any reason to fire people. He bought it new a few years ago at Pedal Power and only rode it 3 or 4 times. He got into road riding and never rode it again. He gave over 3 grand for it and I got it for less than half that.

Honestly, I think it would

Honestly, I think it would be cheaper for me to buy a used bike that's complete because I think it would cost more to build one. I'm trying to find something that will climb like a hardtail, but won't beat me up on the downhills like my hardtail. I saw a Giant Trance 4 inch travel mountain bike sell for about 700 or so on ebay. I was thinking about going that route. I'm not sure if I should pick up a bike before I graduate college and find a permanent job though because I may end up in an area without a place to ride. If I do end up in a place like that I guess I could hit atv trails so I might as well get a bike now. If you have any suggestions or know where I can test ride some Giant bikes, I'm leaning toward them, let me know.

I want to keep my options

I want to keep my options open. Send the pics and price to my e-mail. It may be fairly cheap to build it up and if I need to I could always use some of the parts off my Yukon until I can upgrade. What fork does it have on it?
