I'm going to ride the Caney Loop this evening about 6:30 or so. As always, everyone is welcome and if you want to ride it anytime this summer let me know and I'll give you my number. I'm working on hosting small group rides there.

Hey Rod I will be staying at Zilpo campground the weekend of July 9 will there be a ride in that area on that weekend?

How fast do you ride? A couple of my friends aren't the fastest, but if you ride fast I could ride with you and maybe get another person. I could stop by the shop and spread the word as well. What time is good for you?
I have been riding a
I have been riding a complete year and I am def. a beginner so if you want to bring your slower friends won't be any complaint on my part. I have never been to cave run so I would like to take it slow and soak up the scenery maybe stop and take a few pictures but I can always do that on another day. I would just like to have some locals to show me the best routes in that area. From reading the posts about the area sounds like a cool place. I will be arriving on the 7th of July which is a Saturday. I will get the tent setup and all that good stuff and maybe spin my legs out in the campground. I will prolly ride and fish all day Sunday and ride again in the morning on Monday before we pack everything up and head back to etown. Thanks in advance for any help on this matter. B

sounds like a plan! I will post again as it gets closer and I will figure out where I will be staying in the zilpo campground. Is the trail of choice buckskin in that area? If I post on KYMBA should I just say meet at the zilpo/buckskin trailhead?
Buckskin is usally the trail
Buckskin is usally the trail of choice, but it is in poor condition this year. Many trees are down near the trailhead area. I could barely get around one tree because its top landed in the middle of the trail. The last time I rode it was about two months ago. I have to go i'm at work.

looks like the campground is booked up for this weekend so I won't be able to make it. Trying to get a campsite at wax and ride sal hollow instead. thanks for the help.

Sorry to hear about the campground being full. You can try twin knobs campground. It's on the other side of the lake near caney loop's trailhead. Good luck. If you're ever in the area let me know and I'll give you a tour.
It was my fault for not
It was my fault for not calling earlier. I should have planned better. I forgot this is 4th of july weekend and just about all the factories are shut down for vacation. I might try next weekend.
