I'll have the bike shop database up shortly. We've got a lot of good shops in this state. The bike shop listings will allow for rating the shops and you can discuss your experiences with them here on Bike Kentucky in the forums.
Do any of the local shop
Do any of the local shop have online portals set up yet? I can never get to the stores before they close. Be nice to be able to just buy online. Well I mean obviously you can buy online I mean there are a lot non-local sites on the internet. But I digress....
pedal power, pedal the
pedal power, pedal the planet, the-bike-shop, all have a little for the viewing pleasure. Wood-n-Wave is doing an ordering process for their customers through email. Basically if you can't make it there for what ever reason they will charge you through paypal/credit card and charge only the actual shipping fees (no handeling) to get it to you. You could probably set it up with what ever local shop you deal with.
Shopping from lbs online
If you're really serious about this I know the guy who owns the local bike shop here at Cave Run. I'm pretty sure he would let you order parts online. You currently cannot do it from his website, but if you're serious about this let me know and I'll discuss it with him.
Cyclers Cafe
I bought my Kona Cinder Cone here and I will defiantly buy my next bike from here also. I am also going to get my Kids bike through here if I do not use Bikes Direct.
