Matt and Amy Tackett lost their home, business and family dog, River in a tragic fire tuesday afternoon. This is a tremendous loss for the entire community.
Red River Outdoors is a well known business in Red River Gorge catering to the climbing community. Matt and Amy are two of the nicest people you will ever meet and have always given back to the community much more than they have made from it.
Some of you may remember that Matt and some of the climbers in that region are trying to gather interest from mountain bikers to build trails in the 700 acre Pendergrass-Murray Recreational Preserve.

Matt actually ventured up to Waverly and provided some much needed sweat equity on our trails, in order to learn about trail layout and building, prior to starting on their project.
Best wishes to the family, and I hope they're able to rebuild and continue on successfully!
