Many thanks to Scott for restoring civility here on the site!
My apologies to all website visitors (and Scott). I inadvertently brought the anonymous (and uncivil) posters on board. Their sole purpose was to be disruptive, while altogether ignoring the issues.
I also owe a personal apology to David Klein, who I incorrectly identified as one of the anonymous posters. David has been waging, and winning, a very courageous battle with cancer. My comment about David struggling on the hills at Iroquois Park (it wasn’t even him) is a very good example of what shouldn’t be allowed.
We recently spoke and I wished David a continued speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him on some LBC rides later this year.
In conclusion, thanks again to Scott for starting up Bike Kentucky. It’s my hope that we can continue to share our points of view, even on controversial topics, so long as the discussion is topic oriented, versus insults, personal attacks and ever louder shouting matches.
Thanks again, Don

In other words:
I'm sorry everyone that I am such a fool.
re: HA
Now was that really necessary? Even if you feel it was you lowered yourself in doing so. Which, by the way, we have know way of knowing who YOU actually are. Please update your profile with your real name.
Don, I appreciate your comments. We all make some mistakes and as we all are aware it is difficult sometimes to inject or read tone etc. in this type of communication. Where someone might be stating something as a matter of fact or opinion others can view it as an attack or something. Not trying to categorize any of your posts but just pointing it out.

It takes a big man to apologize and I respect you for that Don. If more people could do that the world would be a better place. I know that I still struggle with letting go of my pride.

Civility restored
Don:
Thank you for listening and your personal apology to me. And I echo Rod's comments and I respect you for that.
Louisville is on the cusp of becoming a great biking community. The folks in Houston are watching and learning from us. Imagine that. If we all work together and at times even agree to disagree, but in a respectfull kind of way, we can all make our visions come to fruition.
I offer any assistance to that effort.
Livestrong always.
