With the weather being so nice I threw in the towel about noon and after taking care of some errands made it out to Waverly Park.
The trails were almost perfect, and the four other riders who happended to be there, and yours truly, enjoyed some very nice riding, all on about 250 acres.
Back around the golf course, from the reroutes of the last couple years, there's quite of bit of standing water on the trails (ie- mud bogs that you're better walking around than riding thru) and prior to this post I did the proper thing and contacted MetroCall, via the city's home web page and put in a service request for parks to fix the mud holes (which render those sections of the trails unsafe and unpleasant to use).
Please utilize MetroCall to insure the city is able to budget and plan for trail maintenance.
If the mud bogs get repaired, one can cover the entire trail system without getting any mud on the bike (or damaging/widening the trail system).

I'll be working with MP to fix or do small reroutes around those few mudholes as well as add about 6 small bridges over the other areas that collect water. Waverly is my backyard trail and I love it but it needs a little TLC, which I plan on dealin with over the next 6 months. I hope by June all trails will be 100% rideable and all mudholes will be missed or traveled over via bridge.

Great news Rico!
A little bit of maintenance and those bridges you mentioned will put Waverly back into one of the most rideable and best maintained trails around.
If you'll be heading up the maintenance efforts, you may also wish to have parks issue you a key to access the Kiosk bulletin board, when I rode Friday it looked like it hadn't been updated since the last time I did it, which would be about 1 year ago.
Thanks again for stepping forward to keep the nicest 200 acre trail system in good shape!
