Beautiful Day at Zilpo

Posted in

Perfect day to ride. Rode out the Zilpo Byway on my road bike today. Man it felt great. This is my two to three night a week ride. Anyone who rides road around here must check this ride out. Lots of wildlife. I saw a hawk today, it came out of the woods and flew above my head for about 1/2 mile, way cool, although I was a little afraid it might crap on my head at any moment. I've seen a bobcat, skunks, countless deer and turkey, two coons either fighting or mating, didn't hang around long enough to find out which.
Go all the way down into the campgrounds and back out. There are some pretty good climbs and some 40+ mph downhills.

Beautiful weather

Did you get to go riding today? I might take a short ride here in a second up Rodburn, but I've been busy. Yesterday I got talked into a baksetball tournament and lost in the final game by three points. Thought I would include the results before someone asks. Wish I would've went biking as I look back in hindsight. Today I had night class, but I still might take a short ride. The weather is fantastic for biking.

Not today

I pushed it pretty hard yesterday. I was really tired at work today. Hopefully I will get a ride in tomorrow. Saturday is looking good, sunny and 70 :-)

I went after I posted earlier for a short intense ride. I just wanted to get back on the bike since it has been almost a month since my last ride. It took my muscles some time to adjust after I got off the bike. I haven't had that feeling in a while. I can't wait until the nice weather this weekend. The trails will still be wet, but I should be able to hit some fire roads or possibly lakeview.

Lakeview/sheltowee

Is always good to go. They drain better than any trails around here

Good deal

I'll head out there this evening
