Age is not a factor.
Last year at Tsali we met a guys who was in his mid 70s. He and his wife were camping and riding. Both were great riders and could kick most of our butts. They road biked also and he said that they averaged 100 miles a week. They made an impression on me that I won't ever forget and hope to aspire to.
Freddy Mause, who lives up
Freddy Mause, who lives up near Cincy, comes to mind when thinking about people who've stayed active on the bike. Freddy, who's in his late 60's, still participates in some XC racing, and even did the DH at Duffield about 3 yrs. ago. Very inspirational to see people such as Freddy and the campers you mentioned staying healthy and active.
Go, Freddy, go!
Freddy is a legend around here, and a really, really nice guy. He still does almost all of the races each year in the NKY/Cincy area. And he even carved out a really nice downhill the last couple of years at Tower Park.

KHS Rider now
Trek is gone I'm now on a 2007 KHS XC-604 frame.
Post a picture of your KHS.
Post a picture of your KHS. How much did the frame cost you? I was thinking about doing the same thing you did someday in the future. I'm not sure if I would enjoy riding a hardtail or full suspension better, but I plan on trying them both someday in the future. I should have a nice hardtail soon and I may transfer the parts to a full suspension frame someday.
