Today's Courier-Journal reported that Subway has signed up as the first sponsor of the Mayor's annual event.
This years ride will be Memorial Day, May 28th, and the longest route will cover 15 miles (an out-an-back to Iroquois Park).
The Mayor filmed several television spots with Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle (who bears a strong resemblance to our Natural Areas Program Director) who was in town yesterday.
Subway will be giving away 7 Trek 820 bikes ($500) at the event.
No word yet on when mountain biking will be added to the Mayor's Event, or included w/the Healthy Hometown Initiative.
