The LWCF is one of our best-kept secrets. (ie- federal matching grants for the purchase and development of public lands).
Our Governor's Office for Local Development (GOLD) is responsible for our KY's program, and 2007 applications are due next month.
In 2006 KY had just over $400,000 to distribute to applicants.
The LWCF was established in 1964, and has provided over 3.6 billion in funding, completing over 40,000 projects, in 98% of the nations counties since it's inception.
