From a couple of recent wire dispatches in the Courier-Journal.
Former world-champion David Millar, was acquitted of doping charges by a French Court (even though he had already served a two-year ban and admitted that he used EPO). As part of the ban he was stripped of his 2003 world time trial title after admitting that he used EPO. Note- he'll be riding for Saunier-Duval/Prodir this year.
Former elite cyclist Tammy Thomas, who was banned for life in Aug. of 2002 after Norbolethone was detected in her urine, pleaded not guilty to charges of lying to a San Francisco grand jury investigating steroid use in sports. Thomas is the first athlete charged in a probe that may end up w/some of the biggest stars in baseball (Barry Bonds?), track and field being charged.
