Glasgow Bike Works located in Haywood Ky is open and ready for business. I am operating a bike repair service out of my home. Hopefully if things go well, I would like to open a bike shop in Glasgow. I am currently working on a website, when it is operational I will post it here on this site.
For a tuneup or repair, please email me at glasgowbikeworks@hotmail.com
Provide a phone number so that I may contact you.
Its almost time to get that yearly spring tuneup, or if you got a repair that needs to be done email me, so you can be ready to start riding when it warms up!
No more races for a little while, so I guess it’s the end of the season for me. And so it seems that I have begun a tradition to have my season finale at the Iceman race in Michigan. This was my third year to race there and it turned out to be my best effort yet. Although I was 20th out of 25, I was ecstatic, because I predicted and truly thought that I would be last place. I looked up the times of last year’s pro/expert wm and saw that last place was eight minutes faster than my last year’s time, so I psyched myself up to race the clock and not the other racers.
This weekend’s 12 hour race at the Canal Loop was an awesome event! It was great to see so many people who said it was their first endurance race and it was evident that they were really putting forth some effort! Everyone seemed to cheer one another on no matter who was competing against whom. At one point in the race, there was a rider who had a bad spill on his bike and another couple of racers carried him out of the woods not giving a thought to their own race. The injured guy happened to be the same fellow who had helped me out earlier in the day by fixing my spoke!
